The purpose of this review study is to examine the use of schema therapy in individuals with substance abuse. In this study, the systematic review method was used, and no field study or any scale was used. Only the studies handled in English are between the years 2015-2023. These studies consist of research articles. This compilation study was carried out in two stages as February, 2023 and June, 2023. As a result of the literature review, 4 studies were discussed. As a result of these 4 studies, it was seen that schema therapy is an effective treatment method on substance addiction. Schema therapy is an effective treatment method that helps individuals with substance addiction meet their emotional needs and create a healthy lifestyle by restructuring negative schemas.
